Coming Soon: Route 3 (Main Street) Right Turn Lane, Town of Kilmarnock

The project will create a dedicated right-turn lane off of Route 3 (Main Street) onto Route 688 (James B. Jones Memorial Highway) to alleviate traffic back-ups at that intersection. It will facilitate truck traffic as non-through trucks must use Route 688 since it is the truck by-pass around the Town of Kilmarnock.

Benefits 

This will reduce congestion, especially at peak travel times, by dividing truck traffic from local to through truck traffic. Local truck traffic must use Route 688 to by-pass the town of Kilmarnock.
