The project will improve the condition of the bridge, widen the approaches, repair the substructure and superstructure.
To accelerate construction, crews have reduced Route 1 from four travel lanes to two travel lanes, with one lane open in each direction for the majority of the project. Route 1 will remain two travel lanes until July 2024 when the $4 million bridge rehabilitation is expected to be complete.
