The project will lengthen the right turn lane on Route 3 eastbound for traffic turning onto Route 624 (Flat Iron Road), which is located between Oak Grove and Montross.
The location will be at the eastern end of a previously-approved project to widen a portion of Route 3, which is scheduled to begin construction January 4, 2021. These projects will be constructed at the same time.
Benefits
The expanded right turn lane will improve traffic flow at peak travel times.
